Jessica Carlile, PhD
Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Owner
Dr. Jessica Carlile (she/her) is a licensed clinical psychologist dedicated to providing evidence-based psychotherapy and assessment services to adults and adolescents. She is an independent practitioner and owner of Elevate Psychology. With a passion for public service, Dr. Carlile maintains active roles in Montana where she grew up and in the Pacific Northwest where she resides. Notably, she currently serves on the Washington State Board of Psychologist Examiners, which aims to regulate the practice of psychology for the protection of the public, ensuring competency for licensure and ethical practice. She also provides clinical supervision and consultation for mental health practitioners learning new treatments.
Committed to delivering exceptional clinical care, Dr. Carlile specializes in evidence-based therapies that alleviate distressing symptoms and enhance overall quality of life. She firmly believes in the dynamic integration of science-based therapy with the art of client-centered, interpersonal processes. Dr. Carlile is warm, collaborative, and direct.
To provide the highest level of care, Dr. Carlile remains up-to-date with the latest scientific research and pursues advanced training and certification in the best therapies available. She actively engages in research and training endeavors, presenting her work at international professional conferences and publishing scientific articles. She is a member of professional organizations, serving on special interest groups in Diversity and Inclusion, Telehealth, Continuing Education, and Trauma. Dr. Carlile has worked in diverse settings, including medical centers, Veterans Health Administration, nonprofits, mental health startups, and community mental health. She continues to collaborate with colleagues at academic medical institutions to help develop and improve psychological treatments to better understand the experiences of underserved individuals.
Tilda Cvrkel, PhD
Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate
Dr. Tilda Cvrkel (she/her) is an independent practitioner with Elevate Psychology. She is a licensed mental health counselor associate offering evidence-based therapy and assessments at Elevate Psychology. Dr. Cvrkel holds two PhDs and worked as an academic before expanding into clinical psychology. Her background as a scholar and scientist informs her approach, and she offers therapy that is grounded in research and fully personalized for each client. In 2023, the Washington State Psychology Association awarded Dr. Cvrkel their Rising Star award.
As a clinician, Dr. Cvrkel is compassionate and direct. She has advanced training and expertise in working with conditions that involve shame, guilt, or intrusive thoughts, such as obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), or sexual difficulties. Clients often find her after holding private anguish for far too long. She specializes in helping clients find relief from that distress.
In addition to her work at Elevate Psychology, Dr. Cvrkel continues to teach, research, publish, and present work at national and international conferences. Dr. Cvrkel has served in varied settings including academic medical centers and emerging technology companies, and she often works with clients who wrestle with the unique demands of medicine, technology, or academia. She also serves as a clinical supervisor for a nonprofit organization, helping train clinicians to conduct forensic assessments for asylum seekers and mentoring graduate students. She is committed to expanding the practice and science of psychology for populations that the field has historically excluded.
Working with Elevate Psychology
When working with Elevate Psychology, you can expect to participate in a thorough intake assessment in which your primary needs and goals are discussed. During the first sessions, you will also have the opportunity to start getting to know Dr. Carlile or Dr. Cvrkel and to ask any questions you may have. Next, you and your psychologist will collaboratively develop a treatment plan that is unique to your specific aims, taking into account your cultural background and identity, as well as your skills and abilities. To ensure that you participate in the most effective treatments possible, Dr. Carlile and Dr. Cvrkel use research-supported treatments that target post-trauma reactions, chronic health concerns, depression and mood problems, anxiety and OCD, and gender or sexuality concerns.
